The Personal Ads

"The Personals Ads" is a new body of work (2016) that is based on an advertisement I placed in The Village Voice, NYC in 2000 under "Women Seeking Men". 


14 men called in. 

I used a computer program that law enforcement uses to sketch offenders. I drew the men as they described themselves AND based on my perceptions of them, calling upon information such as their voices, accents, and other identifying information they gave.
